A Website Health Check is a periodic look at your website’s plugins, themes, structure, and security.

A Website Health Check is a routine review that helps keep your WordPress site running smoothly and securely. During this check, key elements like plugins and themes are examined to ensure they are up to date, compatible, and functioning properly.

The site’s structure is also reviewed to confirm it’s organized and optimized for performance, while security measures are assessed to identify and address any vulnerabilities.

By scheduling regular Website Health Checks each quarter, you can prevent issues before they become serious, maintain strong site performance, and provide a safer, more reliable experience for your visitors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a WordPress Website Health Check?

A Website Health Check is a periodic look at your website's plugins, themes, structure, and security. It's like a teeth cleaning for your website - but without the bubblegum-flavored aftertaste.

Who is a WordPress Website Health Check recommended for?

If you have an active website that is vital for your everyday business, a regular retainer is the best way to go. But if that isn't the right fit for you or your business structure, a Website Health Check can be a good way to keep your website running smoothly without breaking the bank.

Why should you get a WordPress Website Health Check?

Programming changes incredibly quickly in today's world. Keeping WordPress and its plugins updated will prevent hackers from exploiting known vulnerabilities. In fact, almost half of hacked WordPress websites are because of non-updated plugins and/or WordPress. But there are other changes as well: Google might update their algorithm leading to SEO issues on your site, forms can stop working, servers can be updated, programming languages can need new versions installed, and more.

Instead of trying to track everything on your own while running a business, a quick Website Health Check every 3 to 4 months can keep your website running smoothly.

How often should I get a Health Check?

I recommend at least a quarterly check of your website.

What does a WordPress Website Health Check include?

This simple 1 hour service checks whether your website is still operating well. In addition to updating plugins and WordPress, we check for security issues or SEO issues that might be new, loading speeds, unused plugins, and more. With the constant changing of programming languages, plugins, WordPress, SEO, Google’s rules, hacking, and malware, getting a simple health check for your website could save you headaches and thousands of dollars down the road.

How much does a WordPress Website Health Check cost?

A standard Website Health Check with White Fox Creative costs $120. This covers a 1 hour period of time where we'll cover the items in the paragraph above. We'll provide an overall status for your website's health, and apply any easy solutions to fix problems.

What if my website needs more than 1 hour?

Quite a few minor issues can be solved within an hour, but sometimes that might not be enough time. If the 1 hour allotted isn't enough time to fix an issue, we'll let you know what it is and how long it will take to fix it, as well as how important it is overall to the health of your site. We want to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision.

What if I want to talk to you before I buy the health check?

No problem! You can reach out to me by text or by email with questions and we can set up a zoom call to discuss any questions or concerns you have. This is especially helpful if it's been a while since a developer looked at your site.
